Juggernaut Sen. Ossoff Barnstorms Georgia Airwaves on Election Day

Atlanta, Ga. — Today, on Election Day, Senator Ossoff is barnstorming Georgia airwaves to make his final pitch to voters before polls close at 7 PM this evening. Talking to multiple radio and TV stations across the state, Sen. Ossoff is encouraging Georgians to head to the polls and vote for Democrats up and down the ballot.

What Georgians Are Hearing:

Sen. Ossoff on WABE Radio: “We’re seeing record-shattering turnout in Georgia this year. We are blowing through all-time records for early voting in a midterm election. One of the things that’s most encouraging […] is we are seeing record youth turnout for a midterm in Georgia, and it’s not even close. Young people are turning out at an unprecedented rate, and I think it’s because the public understands the stakes of this election. If there’s ever a moment where we need checks and balances in Washington, it’s now.”

Sen. Ossoff on KISS 104: “These are going to be very close races with huge stakes. In a cost-of-living crisis that we face, with our state facing the closure of hospitals and clinics and nursing homes, with this war that they lied us into, and the tariffs that have driven grocery prices through the roof, and people seeing their health insurance premiums double. The president is out of control, and he’s attacking civil rights and voting rights that heroes died to secure. But we defend those rights by using them, and today is the day to use them by voting.”

Sen. Ossoff on WAOK: “I stood up to the drug companies to cap the cost of insulin. I’m fighting these insurance companies to ban them from denying us the care that we need. You know, folks pay their health insurance premiums for decades and then they get cancer. But instead of being able to fight their cancer, they got to fight their insurance company to get their cancer treatment covered. It’s wrong. We should ban it. And I’m going to continue fighting on behalf of the people here in Georgia if I have the privilege and honor of being reelected today.”

Sen. Ossoff on WSB Radio: “I expect record-breaking turnout today, and I want to encourage everybody to participate, make your voice heard, use your constitutional rights, and take part in this sacred civic tradition to help determine the course of our state and our country.”

What Georgians Are Watching:

Sen. Ossoff on WSB-TV: “It’s the last chance to make your voice heard, with the polls closing at 7:00 PM this evening. And I am encouraging everybody to get out there and vote. You can find your polling place at iwillvote.com. That’s iwillvote.com. Be a part of American democracy. Let’s all do our civic duty and get out there and vote today.”

Sen. Ossoff on WANF: “The reason that we’re seeing this record-breaking turnout in early voting, and the reason we expect record-breaking turnout today is because there was such a need for change in this country. We are seeing all-time high prices. It’s never cost more, to fill up your truck, to stock your fridge, to power your home, to go to the doctor, because of the war, because of the tariffs, because of the health care cuts. But this is our moment to make a difference […].”

Sen. Ossoff on WXIA: “I’m going to build on the work that I’ve done taking on the drug companies to cap the cost of insulin. Now I’m standing up to these insurance companies, trying to ban them from denying Georgians the health care that Georgians need.”

Sen. Ossoff on WMAZ: “Congressman Collins has voted literally 100% of the time with Donald Trump. He’s demonstrated no independence. He’s voted every time for the tariffs, every time for the war, every time for the health care cuts. He voted to double Georgians’ health insurance premiums, and when you have a president who’s driving up prices, a president who’s abusing his power, you need checks and balances in Washington. We don’t need another Trump puppet in the U.S. Senate. There are plenty of those in Washington already.”

Sen. Ossoff on WRBL: “I’m going to remain a champion for Georgia agriculture and Georgia farmers, and Georgia farmers are getting crushed by these tariffs. Georgia farmers are getting crushed by these record diesel prices from this reckless and unnecessary war, and Georgia is already losing hospitals and clinics in rural areas, and that’s only accelerated since these Medicaid cuts, and that’s a big part of why we need a change.”

Sen. Ossoff on WRDW: “We have a global energy crisis and record-high fuel prices that are crushing Georgia families and Georgia agriculture. We need to bring this reckless and unnecessary war to an end. This war has resulted in the deaths of 21 American service members and wounded hundreds more, and it’s a war based on lies.”

Sen. Ossoff on WJBF: “I’ve worked so hard and have delivered resources to upgrade health clinics, to upgrade schools, colleges, universities, tech schools, to upgrade infrastructure, seaports, airports — get lead pipes out of drinking water systems. […] We need to make sure that Georgia’s smaller metro areas and rural communities are getting the attention from Washington they deserve.”

Sen. Ossoff on WJCL: “I have helped to direct historic infrastructure investment to coastal Georgia, to help make coastal Georgia more resilient against tropical storms and coastal flooding, to help upgrade our ports along coastal Georgia, to expand broadband internet, to pull lead pipes out of our drinking water systems. I’ve also helped to lower prescription drug costs by standing up to the drug companies and passing that $35 cap on the price of insulin through Medicare. But there is so much more work to be done to make life livable and affordable in coastal Georgia and across the state.”

Recent reporting in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution highlights Georgia’s high youth turnout during the Early Vote period, with Black and young voters “heading to the polls at a significantly faster clip than during the last midterm election.” The AJC outlines that “early in-person voting among Black Georgians is up 33% compared with the first nine days of voting in 2022, while turnout among voters under 30 has jumped 54%. Among young Black voters, the increase is an eye-popping 80%.” This trend is consistent among Georgia Latinos, with the AJC reporting this morning on how “Hispanic voters have been fueling part of the state’s record turnout numbers,”

with more than 105,000 ballots cast ahead of Election Day, compared to just under 50,000 ballots cast during the same period in 2022. According to the AJC, “the voter bloc is making up a bigger share of Georgia’s voting population than ever before: around 3.7% so far compared to by 2% four years ago.”

This follows a poll by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which shows Ossoff’s strength with a high approval rating of 55% including strong support from independents, even after Republicans have spent millions of dollars on TV and digital ads targeting him.
